I had a GP consulting session today. I was doing well - I did proper cardio, respiratory and GI examinations for health checks, talked to a lady about her new anxiety medication, did an antenatal check, and even did a pap smear - no problems.
And then, halfway through a consultation, I turned off the doctor's computer with my foot. Oops.

Hmm - stay away from the intensive care unit until you get that sorted out...
Ha, Ha! The classic move. LOL @ PTR's comment
Potentially dumb question Pink: In your previous comment when you said you have 4 interviews before getting in to Medicine, do you mean you tried for four years? That must have been disheartening but good on you for trying again. At each time was it a case of getting more work experience or voluntary work?
No problems PTR - we don't have an ICU, so I can't do too much damage. Right?
Lulu - I tried to get into undergrad medicine first, hence the bulk of my interview um, 'experience'. I had one interview in Year 12, was unsuccessful, took a year off to work, and then applied again. This time the interviewers weren't sure what to do with me and called me back for another interview, after which they must have decided that I was entirely unsuitable for medicine because I didn't get offered a spot. So I did another degree and then applied (successfully, at last) for postgraduate medicine. What can I say ... keep hammering at the door and eventually they'll let you in!
